April 26 - Community Run on a Saturdaty

Today I decided to do the community run because I was tired of running at the park. I started by the same spot we do in school but ended when I went down the hill to the school. It felt different to run alone because you have no one to tell you to keep going. I tried to tell myself when I got tired that the uncomfortable feeling will only last a bit and the results (my fitness) will be worth it. I had trouble going uphill but I didn't stop until my shoelace untied and I had to tie them. Other than that, I didnt stop running and I was really proud because of that. I would love to
see improvements the next time the class does the community run :)

April 25 - Fitness Friday

Today for fitness, the whole gym block did a fun warm up exercise and a relay race :) There were 10 of us in the group for the warm-up. However, in the end we had 6 people left which made it harder to sprint because the "recovery time" (jogging) was shorter. For the relay race, Gaby and I went to another group since the group only had 6 people. I had fun but I feel like it would have been better with Yulia and Nicole with us :( I hope to do it again soon because it is so much fun to race other people!

April 19 - Saturday Morning Run

Today I decided to go running in the morning because it was supposed to rain later on in the afternoon. I didnt feel so well because I was dehydrated. I ran 3 miles because it was my goal and did not stop running. I think I am getting better at being consistant with the pace. I tried not to go too slow to see how much I can push myself to the limit. I am excited to see my results for next week!

April 17 - Running Around the Track

Today, we had options to do sports, but it didnt seem like fun things to do, so Gaby and I chose to run instead. It was raining really hard but that shouldnt stop anyone from doing something they want. I forgot how many laps we ran, but we used the nike running app and the gps said we ran about 3 miles in 30 minutes. I was pround and glad I chose to run that day because I missed fitness on Tuesday of that week.

April 11 - Hill Run

For fitness, we did the hill run by Cambrige. It was exhausting because the hill seemed soo steep!! On the way, the whole class jogged there and it was a great warmup. When we started running uphill, I can feel myself getting soo tired at the same exact spot every time. It was really nice to have Gaby encouraging me to smile because apparently it helps you not get tired. However, i couldnt smile cause it was soooooo hard. I ran uphill 8 times :) after the hill run, Gaby and I decided to run back!

April 9 - Speed Ball

On wednesday, our whole class played speed ball. It was my first time playing and I was so surprised that it made you super tired compared to other sports. I need to work on contributing more to the team and I also believe that the game could game been better if people played with the team, not just doing things them selves. Over all, I think speed ball was fun and would love to play it again :))

April 8 - Goldstone

I went running around 4:30 today! It felt nice to run because it wasn't too hot or too cold. It started drizzling for 5-6 minutes and it was interesting to see a lot of people leave right when it rained a bit. Overall I think I felt pretty good throughout the run :D Here's a photo of my result

April 7 - Running by the Pond

I decided to go jogging today because the weather was great. It was enjoyable because no one else was running so I was calm.I ran about 3 miles in 30 minutes. I think I did pretty well because I did not stop running which means I paced myself nicely. Heres a pic of the results!

April 7 - Capture the Flag

Today, we played capture the flag in the lower field. It took a very long time to set up because we were all doing our own thing. When Richard started to organize, I think it went very well. I don't think I contributed much in the first half of the game but when it became boys vs girls, the game became fun and more interesting because we strategized and planned how we were going to play the game. I think that not having the t.a or mr. Neufeld helping is a benefit to us because we are able to learn about leadership. Next time we play the game, I think one person should take charge and everyone should be quiet and cooperate. :))

April 5 - Interval training

On Saturday, I went running at goldstone with Gaby. Instead of doing the usual zombies run, I decided to do interval training. I ran for a minute and rested for a minute. I did this for half an hour and when I finished, I ran two more laps since Gabys game was not finished. I felt pretty good about the run except that I think I should have decreased the time I would rest to maybe 40 seconds.
