December 12 - Fitness Friday!

On Friday, we went outside to do the community run and the last portion of the pond run. It felt so good to go running again, and I think I did the best I could. At first, I felt like my lungs were burning but once I controlled my breathing, it felt normal again. Going up the last hill was the toughest part to do, but I didn't stop running! The pond run wasn't too bad to do afterwards. Here's a screenshot of the data from NikeRun app & an after gym selfie!

December 10 - Note to Self

I haven't been doing anything outside of school since the vacation I had in the Philippines. I used to run pretty much every other day, and did some workout videos on the side. I don't really know why I can't get myself to just go out and do something. Maybe its the weather? Or how dark it gets by the time I get out of school. I want to stop making excuses and just go on a quick run or something as easy as that. I'm going to seek for inspiration to go running again. Maybe the 2014 VS Fashion Show will do the trick? I have no idea, but I'm going to get out of this rut soon! Stay tuned.

December 10 - Weight Room & Latissimus Dorsi

So today, Gaby, Yulia, and I did these two workout videos, and 3 exercises to work on out muscle of the day! The three exercises with the resistant bands killed my arms! It was pretty hard to do because I tend to work on my legs more than my upper body. I was sooooo glad to finish and move on to the videos. I enjoyed doing the ab workout because I had so much fun being in pain with Yulia and Gaby. We were making all sorts of noise because it was burning so badly. The leg workout was a bit awkward at times because of what the people were doing with their arms... Other than that, it was a pretty good workout. At the end of everything my face was so sweaty (gross, but prooved that I worked hard). As I was doing the workouts, I see a lot of the people working hard, which made me want to keep going and contribute to the good vibes from the class. Here's an after workout pic! December 8 - Muscle of the Day: Bicep Femoris

Today in the weight room, we focused on working out the bicep femoral. Yulia and I decided to do a 100 Rep squats video! And we also used the leg curl machine. I was able to feel the burn in my legs while we were doing it. My favorite was the jump squats because they were fun to do! Here's a picture of my doing jump squats and the workout video.

December 8 - Self Reflection

After looking at a few blogs from our class, I realize that I need to go more in depth about what I could improve on and how I'm going to do so. I also need to catch up on the blog posts! Lastly, I need to add photos or videos as evidence of hard work, not just saying I worked hard. I hope to add these things before this term ends!! :)

December 4 - Relay around the Pond

For fitness, we ended up doing a relay around the pond. I was in a group with Gaby, Pallvi, and Anusha. I was missing Yulia that day :( I feel like I could have pushed myself harder because I didn't feel myself in 'the uncomfortable state' like I usually do during fitness. I hope to do it again soon so I can actually work harder and contribute a better attitude to the class.

November 28 - Fun with Yoga

I never thought that Yoga would make me sweat this much! For fitness Tuesday, the whole block did yoga in the large gym. I was so sore that day because of the previous days. I feel like its one of those fitness days where its easy to not compare yourself to others because its something no one is extremely good at. I had fun doing some poses and making weird faces at Gaby because of the awkwardness. I especially looooooved the child birth pose. lol. But anyways, I really felt the stretch during the whole video and it would be fun to do it again.
